WPM CRACK INDUCER
The WPM CRACK INDUCER consists of a steel sheet with one side special mineral coating that guarantees connection point waterproof and steel plates to create the desired crack. The sheet has a width of 150 mm, the length of steel plates is 2x50mm, 2x80mm, or 2x100mm depending on the thickness of the structure. The element will be installed in cast-in-place concrete between the reinforcement steel. The steel plates are bent at either angle, which gives the crack a tapered shape and maintains the structural strength properties.
- Defined breaking point
- Watertight joint
- Special coating, highly elastic
- Officially tested
- Watertight against pressurized water of 2,5 bar
- Made in Estonia
For preparing a defined breaking point, the WPM CRACK INDUCER is used in cast-in-place concrete between the reinforcement steel in the wall and the slab.
- Steel material: steel
- Steel sheet height: 150 mm
- Steel sheet thickness: approx. 1,0 mm
- Steel sheet length: 2,5 m, 1,220 m, 0,620 m
- Special coating: mineral coating
- The thickness of the complete sheet: approx. 2,1 mm
- Color: silver/metal
- Temperature resistance: – 35oC – +75oC
- Working temperature: no limit
The element is installed between the reinforcement, in the center of the structure. Apply glue stripe in the middle of overlap, connect the elements with overlapping of 10 cm and fix with clips. Use the fixing glue in the kit to achieve a proper joint. Use a wire to fix the element between the reinforcement steel.
The elements are installed in steps depending on the concrete casting thickness: 150 mm max 8 m / 200 mm max 10 m / 250 mm max 12 m / 300 mm max 14 m.
When using the CRACK INDUCER element in the wall, a triangular phase strip must be installed on both sides of the framework, which will mark the location of the resulting crack.
